AEON MALL SHINLIFU SOUTH BUILDING

This project is located in Lifu-cho, Miyagi-gun, Miyagi Prefecture, adjacent to the AEON MALL Shin Lifu North Building (renovated in summer 2021), which opened in 2000, across a prefectural road. HMA designed the exterior wall based on the concept of “RYTHM”, which is linked to the facility’s concept of “LIVE FULL DAYS”. Multiple lines are interlaced and connected to give a sense of realism and movement. Triangular LED panels were designed as part of the outer wall and placed around the main entrance of the retail centre. The exterior wall design gives a significantly different impression during the day and at night, thus creating a landmark-quality facade design that is instantly recognisable.
